To qualify for Queensland’s electric bike rebate, applicants must satisfy specific criteria:

• Purchase a qualifying e-bike outright (including via buy now, pay later options) on or after 23 September 2024.
• The e-bike must be bought either in person at a Queensland retail store or online from a business based in Queensland or another Australian business with a valid ABN, including sole traders, partnerships, companies, trusts, or not-for-profits.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Proof of Queensland residency is required, which can be demonstrated through a valid Queensland driver’s licence or other documentation.

To meet eligibility requirements, the e-bike must:

• Be an electric pedal-assist bicycle (EPAC) with a maximum continuous power rating of 250 watts, where:
• The power gradually decreases when the bike’s speed exceeds 6 km/h.
• The assistance cuts off entirely when the eBike reaches 25km/h
